Invites coming to Canada, very nice to see.

Also, gives us insight into costs $45,600 for the base car, LRB $11,900, premium upgrades $6,600

Apparent deliveries for 4-8 weeks so April-May to be on Canadian streets.

In Ontario, we get a $14,000 incentive for this car -
    $45,600
    + 15% Taxes (13% HST, 2% other fees)
    $52,440
    - $14,000
    $38,440

BMW 330 is $45,400 base model
    + 15% Taxes
    $52,210

    Ford Fusion Energi
    $45,438
    + Taxes
    $51,345
    - $7,000 (incentive from Government)
    $44,345

    Seems like a no-brainer?

I just configured and was somewhere in the middle of the line. You're probably coming up in the next several weeks.

Interesting regarding the pricing. I'll have to reevaluate whether I should get long range & the dual-motor option.

I'll likely be doing lots of driving on cottage (dirt) roads in both the summer and winter, but I'd be interested to research how much the dual-motor is actually going to benefit with AWD. The electric motor already provides substantially more torque than other cars; obviously only to two wheels, but that's fine as long as they're on the ground (with decent traction, which is the catch)...

And long-range battery? Tesla's new online map with supercharger stations seems to be proving to me that I might not need that.

Lots to consider... I still have expected delivery in late 2018.

PS: Does anyone know if I can remove the delivery cost by driving the car myself from Freemont? I'm starting to think that'd be a fun road-trip in my new car!

From what I understand even if you stand next to the factory the same delivery fee applies

Just got my vin. Delivery is april 11th. My vin is in the low 1200's. Was pretty shocked because many people taking delivery last week were posting vins in the 1500s. Goes to show they aren't really in order.

Just got my configuration email last night. I reserved online, about as close to when online reservations opened as possible (was waiting with my laptop and refreshing occasionally until it popped up a few minutes before it was supposed to go live). I'm in Colorado. Exciting! I wasn't expecting it anytime soon, so it was a real surprise to see it pop up yesterday. 3-6 weeks.
