    I would assume Tesla would switch to the new chips as soon as possible for cost reasons. It doesn't make sense to install 2.0 chips just to take the car in for service to swap the chip at a later date. Even if they have a stock pile of 2.0 chips, the labor cost to do the switch would most likely outweigh the cost of throwing away 2.0 chips.
