I bought Model X 75D back in January, it has the lasted software update. Last night while I was using auto auto steer last night, it accelerated itself toward the front car and hit it. Anybody else has the same experience?

BTW, I autodrove from DC to Richmond on I-95 south on 4/7 afternoon, my tesla suddenly accelerated toward the RV in front of me, fortunately I hit the brake just in time to avoid the crash.

Auto Steer has nothing to do with acceleration. It is a lane keeping function. Acceleration and braking is part of ACC function (adaptable cruise control. In any case, it remains the driver's responsibility to pay attention to vehicles around their Tesla. Check your settings for following distance and be sure its is not set on "1" car length. I keep mine set on 3 or 4 Car lengths.
