That's fantastic news. If you do visit Dalian, make sure to stay several days. I'm sure I can find you more interesting places to visit than Shenyang and Fushun.

So I actually tried it! I used the Bitmain Antminer S9, which is currently the most efficient publicly available Bitcoin miner, at at ~0.1 Joule per GH/s. The unit I use, is capable of ~13.5TH/s, and is 2.5x more efficient then the previous generation of Antminers, the S7.
    ( Get your own Antminer S9 Here: https://goo.gl/bQDdvY )
(Support my channel by mining Monero here: http://SuperchargerTravel.com/support.html )

I connect the Antminer S9 to the Model S via a 12v to 240v power inverter.
Ideally, one would prefer to tap into the high voltage battery pack directly. This poses a couple problems however. 1; where to connect. The High Voltage battery is only connected and online when the vehicle is charging, in use, or the car is charging the 12v Aux battery. 2; The voltage of the main battery pack is as high as 404v. One would need another DC to DC converter to bring that voltage down, then invert it to power the Mining Equipment, or, a DC to DC converter capable of going directly to the miner via DC. 3: Tapping into the main battery in just about any way will void that nice, shiny, 8 year infinite mile warranty.

Going through the 12v Aux battery also poses problems. Such as the capacity of that battery is rather low. On it's own, it can't supply enough power to power the mining equipment for any real length of time. The car's DC to DC converter, is about 600 watt capacity. It's designed to keep the battery charged, and power the on-board electronics such as headlights, seat heater, dash and center screens/computers. It was not designed to provide high high power continuously that mining equipment would require.

In the end, the test was a Bust. Fun to do. Who else on this planet has Actually really honestly attempted to mine bit coin using a Electric Car as a power source? I think we made records here. The miner wouldn't stay on at full power. Removed 1 hash board, at 2/3 capacity, still did not want to run. at 1/3 capacity, with a draw of 450wh, it stayed powered up, but would just not start mining.

Viewer request. Can you survive on a day to day basis charging your Tesla or Electric car only on a "Slow" 120v Outlet? Simple answer is short, Yes. Though, it's a bit more complicated then that. It's really a Yes AND No. It depends on HOW you use your car, and a number of other factors. Also, possibility exists that you could convert and upgrade your EXISTING 120v outlet to 240v, and DOUBLE your charging rate for as little as $20-30!!!

If your looking to convert a existing outlet to 240, low cost receptacles can be purchased here for Less then $6 each free shipping! See your local hardware store for circuit breakers.

Testing Tesla's Heated Wipers on my Tesla Model S. While cold out, did good to free up the wipers. Also, warm wipers wipe better :)

With a new recent Firmware Update which allowd pre-heating your battery pack if you have RANGE MODE OFF, Now also turns on the rear window defrosters! If you have the Cold Weather Package, it will also activate the Side Mirror defrosters as well as the heated Wipers. For Autopilot Enabled Cars, it will turn on the Camera Defrosters!!!
    This is a EXCELLENT UPDATE!
Note: To disable the Defrosters, Wiper Heaters & Pack heater, turn on RANGE MODE.

I personally TURN ON Range Mode for my daily driving, and turn it off at night so that I can defrost and "bake" the car in the morning. Especially with these Sub-Zero Temperatures!

Not too much change going on right now. I have 3 more Range updates queued for editing together. At 54,000 miles, I will be on a Road Trip, so Lots of Supercharging and a good number of 100% charges to bring balance even better. Add in deep discharges, it should allow the BMS (Battery Management System) to better Calibrate.

Today, I tested out the Autopilot Buddy. It is a Nag Reduction device for Tesla Autopilot. It does "defeat" a safety feature, so please head my warnings in the video!

You might remember my "Snowy Ride Along", Well, this is the morning after.....

Heavy snow on car, trunk was so heavy the trunk lift gate motors on my Model S couldn't even open the trunk. Heck, the trunk couldn't even keep itself open!!!!!
One interesting thing though, the rear camera, managed to melt itself a hole through the ice :)

This was a UNDERGROUND Cave Tour. I did my best to Enhance the video to make it as visible as possible. Actual light in the cave is just enough to go through without needing a flashlight.

Special Thanks to my close friend, Wensi' for the footage. You may remember her from my 2015 China Videos (
and some other videos from 2014). She has been Teaching in South Korea for two years now, and she got the chance to visit the Hanam Tesla store for me. It is a very over-due video as we had some trouble getting the video to me.

Tesla Supercharger Time Lapse Build-out Oak Creek, WI 10 stalls
Time Lapse of the Oak Creek, WI Supercharger Build (Milwaukee County). This build took Multiple Months, and multiple delays. Most delays were the Power Company, and then Meijer putting a stop build on ALL superchargers at Meijer locations.

Checking out some Electric Go Karts at Knuckleheads indoor family fun center. Geno was busy jumping in the Trampoline park, so me and Vinny went for a walk.
They are using Optima Batteries, and D&D Motors. Not 100% sure of the voltage, but I believe either 24 or 42v.

Tesla UMC Vampire Drain DON'T UNPLUG YOUR UMC
For many owners, the UMC (Universal Mobile Connector) is what they use on a daily basis for charging their Tesla. Many leave the UMC plugged in, however, a good number of people unplug it daily, but are not taking it with them.
Unplugging the UMC, is Unnecessary. The UMC has a very very low "vampire" drain (Power consumed while device is "off"). The constant Plugging and Unplugging also shorten the life of the Plug End (Adapter) and the Outlet your using.

Please don't be a EV Hole. If you're going to park at a charging station, PLUG YOUR CAR IN!

108 Weeks in, Not Much Change. BMS thinks pack has slightly less capacity, charged to the same rated range.

All the Tesla stores in China are kept very clean, and have Knowledgeable salesmen! If you are shopping for a Tesla in Beijing, China, go to the Beijing Parkview Green mall, and make sure you order with "Tim". He is the most knowledgeable Tesla Salesman ive met in years! And VERY Enthusiastic about his job. Of course, be sure to give him my referral code ;-)

Short in-store videos are due to the extremely STRICT filming policy Tesla holds for some reason in it's stores. Last visit, to the upstairs location in 2016, which is now used for deliveries and paperwork, I was escorted out FOR JUST OPENING MY CAMERA and not allowed back in. See my China Electric Transportation video for the few shots I was able to show.
