SpaceX will be live streaming the Hyperloop Pod Competition directly at http://www.spacex.com/hyperloop. It's scheduled for 1:55pm PT but things appear to be pretty dynamic based on the flurry of activity taking place as teams prepare, fix, scurry to the launch site. Keep in mind these pods are not tiny go carts and can weigh over a ton.

Attached are some photos of the teams getting ready to place their pods on the test track leading into the 'Hypertube'. What's really cool beyond the fact these pods will be traveling in excess of 200mph through the 1-mile tube, the initial 'push' to get the pods up to speed is being handled by a 'pusher' that appears to be powered by two Tesla drivetrains!

Feel free to share some photos here if you happen to be at the event!

There was some questions from the community asking how Hyperloop pods are loaded onto the track. The SpaceX team uses a forklift.

Here's a video from Twitter showing one of the pods being transported.

The Badgerloop team from University of Wisconsin-Madison purposely designed the pod to full scale in hopes to get Elon in the seat.

No signs of Elon yet but rumor is that he'll be making an appearance.

Hyperloop event has lots if security and entry registration like all other Tesla / SpaceX event. Need an invite to get in the area on Prarie and Jack Northrop where the action is. Looks like the invite are mostly for hyperloop team members and SpaceX employees

The Hyperloop Pod Competition appears to have a lot more security than Tesla events. Some shots we took behind the scenes.

    Pretty cool!!

We mentioned Elon in a tweet earlier letting him know that Badgerloop's full-scale Hyperloop pod was designed specifically for him. It's one of two teams that built an actual-sized pod where as other teams have pods have half-size to even smaller scale pods.

He must have seen the tweet (at least that's what we'd like to think) because Badgerloop was the first team he went to go visit following his speech! Here are some photos of him sitting inside the cockpit designed specifically for someone 6'2" in height!

Looks slightly less comfortable than being in a Roadster...
