Was in Hawaii over thanksgiving and bought my Model X from the Tesla showroom across the street from my hotel. Fantastic experience. Took delivery this past Friday in San Francisco. It's proven a very practical car storing lots of people and things (go the 7 seat/bench option). I love it even though it's rough in some ways (compared to my old X5). The doors are puzzling to me. So far I'm always parking where there's plenty of space and the doors still go out and then get stuck. But there was one time where I parked pretty close to a car and it lifted up more instead of out. Isn't it a no-regret move to have the door open up all the time instead of out? It seems to open out instead of up most of the time. And then I got to push it up or press the button to override the proximity sensors. Are there ways to set preferred behavior? I'm assuming not and that eventually the software will get better.
