I’m having a significant safety problem with the auto steer on my Model S 2017 build, Software Version 50.6. AP2. While driving on the Florida Turnpike at 75 mph, I engage the auto steer program. The road is very straight for many miles. The auto steer started with small variations in tracking while keeping a straight line. The variations increased to swaying back and forth side-to-side with the deviations increasing. I had to stop before the variations became a safety issue. I’m sure I’m not the only owner having an autosteer problem. What have been the responses from Tesla and what are the cures for the problem ?

The only times I have noted issues that seem similar to yours were when the road markings delineating the lanes were not very visible, either because the paint had wore off, or because the sun was very low on a wet road.

Other than that the systems works just fine.
Try to remember if any of these circumstances applied in your case or contact T≡SLA.
